A portion of Emma’s weekly physical therapy today was spent wearing a weighted vest and trying to walk quietly down the hall wearing a pair of flippers. You generally carry your flippers and put them on in the water because they are so difficult to walk in. I imagine walking in sand to be more difficult than walking on a hard floor but depending on your footwear you can make a lot of noise walking on hard floors. Emma was managing walking okay but trying to have quiet or silent footsteps tripped her up. I am not too surprised as I am sure I would have a difficult time preforming this task too. Now I have to wonder, would the average child with no medical issues be able to easily do this?
