I intended to add my Dear Baby Bean poem to one of my photos of a boy girl sky. That is what I call it when the sky is both pale blue and pale pink. A friend of mine, Peg Zenko, gave me the technical explanation—”The blue strip is the shadow of the earth’s rim as the sun goes below the horizon…if you watch you can actually see it getting wider. The pink is the anti-solar sunset color called the ‘Belt of Venus’.” As it turns out all my photos of this did not have enough sky space for the poem so I had to improvise and look through my photos to find a pastel colored sky with more space.
